Shabbos
Every Shabbos at Young Israel is an exciting a warm experience, including tefilot, divrei Torah, classes, Kiddush, and Shalosh Seudos.
The regular Shabbos schedule is:
- Mincha – 20 min. before sunset
- Kabbalas Shabbos & Maariv
- Shacharis – 8:45 AM
- Mincha - 1 hour before sunset (in the winters, it is after Kiddush)
- Shalosh Seudos
- Maariv – about 10 minutes after Shabbat ends
We believe shul should be a family experience. Parents are welcome to bring their children to services. Please note our eruv is not up yet.
Experience our hospitality
We believe community is all about hachnasat orchim, hospitality, or welcoming guests. Since Abraham sat in the heat waiting for guests to arrive so he could personally serve them, our ancestors understood the power of welcoming someone else into their home. A cornerstone of Judaism, hachnasat orchim is best experienced on Shabbat.
Visitors are invited to other members' homes by a rotating hospitality committee. Contact YISDrabbi@gmail.com for more info.
Life Cycle
A central part of community life is celebrating the joys and mourning the losses together. Please be in touch directly with Rabbi Rosenberg at YISDrabbi@gmail.com to discuss.
